The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British low-level strike aircraft issued in June 1952 as Naval Staff Requirement NA.39, first flown in April 30th, 1958. The Buccaneer entered the Fleet Air Arm service in 1962, and was out of service by 1978. The first RAF unit to receive the Buccaneer S.2B was a 12 Squadron at RAF Honington in 1969, serving with the Royal Air Force until 1994, including service in the 1991 Gulf War. The Buccaneer was a mid-wing, twin-engine, two-seat with folding wings aircraft with nuclear weapon capability.
