By equipping the Hurricane Mk.II with a more powerful Merlin XX engine, the nose was extended by approximately 11.4cm, and a larger radiator than that carried by the Mk.I was installed. It was armed with twelve .303-caliber machine guns. During the North Africa and Burma campaigns, the aircraft was equipped with improved filter equipment and coolers, and was painted to prevent fading from strong sunlight. It was also known as Trop (Tropical).Â
This 1/48-scale model kit from Arma Hobby includes a painting mask sticker and decals by Techmod for three versions. The elevator and rudder are separate parts, and the canopy can be built opened or closed. An aviation bomb, bomb rack, and additional tanks are included. The cockpit interior is completely reproduced too.
