Product Description
Bandai's "Plannosaurus" model-kit series encourages you to learn about dinosaurs by assembling them yourself from the skeleton out! Begin with the "skeletal build," assembling the dinosaur's skeleton piece by piece; the "dinosaur build" then allows you to attach the outer skin parts to the skeleton. Nippers and glue are not required, so they're easy to assemble, too!Â
This model kit allows you to recreate a reconstruction of a Mosasaurus published in 1899, when it was interpreted as having a mane-like series of scales growing from the back of its head to its tail. The tail was originally interpreted as being straight, too, as is shown here. The mouth can be opened and closed, and the head, neck, limbs, abdomen, and tail fin are all articulated so you can recreate swimming poses; a display base is included.Â
