The "Bf 109 G-4" is a unique subtype within the early G-series models (G-1 to G-4), some of which were operated as photo reconnaissance aircraft. When not equipped with cameras, it could carry various armaments including R1-3, plus R4 (auxiliary fuel tank), R5 (MG 108 cannon pod), and R6 (MG 151 cannon pod), making it effective as a medium-altitude fighter.
This kit faithfully recreates the Trop specification with desert camouflage filter, based on thorough research of actual aircraft, as the R6 variant featuring MG 151 gondolas under both wings. It masterfully reproduces even the subtle differences of the G-4, which served a transitional role to the G-6 despite its short production run and limited numbers.
