    This R/C assembly kit depicting the 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo is a special limited-edition release that is paired with the fun and easy to build TT-02 chassis.
    About the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo
    In 1978, the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was developed for the DRM (German Racing Championship) by West German racing team Zakspeed. This car featured an extremely low-profile wide body born of intensive wind tunnel testing and weighed a mere 790kg. The car was paired with a 1,427cc inline-4 DOHC turbo engine capable of 375hp. This car achieved victory for the first time at the 11th race of the DRM in Nürburgring in October 1978; the next year it got the second position at the first race of the DRM and victory at the second race.
    Adaptable TT-02 Chassis offers balanced shaft driven 4WD.

    The shaft driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to offer excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports.

    • The distinctive form of the 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo is captured using a lightweight, rigid 1.0mm thick polycarbonate body.
    • The efficient shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis features superior adaptability and stability.
    • Front 2-piece mesh wheels from Item 50548 (silver color) are paired with racing slick tires.
    • Rear 2-piece wide mesh wheels from Item 50549 (silver color) are paired with wide racing slick tires from Item 50547.
    • Gold color wheel caps are used at front and rear.
    • Includes livery stickers and masking tape for the windows for use in the painting process.
    • Includes 540-Type Torque Tuned Motor and ESC.
    • Required to complete: 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with compatible charger and Tamiya PS paints.
