These two fiends lair in a warren of muddy tombs cut into the canyon walls, having seized power by devouring the tribe’s former chieftain. The tribe’s shaman, Botslurp, serves the barghests out of fear but cunningly pits them against one another to maintain her fragile influence. The larger of the pair, Thragool, dominates his sibling and takes the lion’s share of loot and flesh, but Krelk constantly schemes to usurp him. The Mudmaggots spend their days raiding nearby crypts, scavenging for weapons, and ambushing travelers who stray too close to their lair.
